The Big Apple has long been home to some of the top colleges and universities in the nation. New York is home to world-renowned institutions such as Columbia University and New York University. If you are a student with New York roots, there may be scholarships available to help you fund your college education. Some of these scholarships were created for students who are from New York while other scholarships are open to any student who attends a school in NY State. If you are searching for New York scholarships, check out the list of opportunities below to see if you are eligible for any of these awards:

As long as the student resides in one of the four eligible states, the funding can be applied at any college or university nationwide. A Foundation Family Enrollment Form is sent to eligible families when notice is received that an officer or firefighter has perished. The funds may be used in a number of ways, including, tutoring service, tuition and fees for undergraduate or graduate work, preparatory school fees, or vocational training.
