Lions Clubs International is a service organization with more than 46,000 local clubs and 1.4 million members. Members take part in service projects to try to help their local communities.

Many local chapters of the Lions Club offer scholarships to high school and college students. The requirements vary by chapter, but students typically have to maintain a good GPA and submit an essay.

Members of the Lions Club can also apply for grants for non-college programs, including leadership training programs and programs to help increase recruitment for the Lions Club.
