When it comes to pursuing a degree or certification in a field, all individuals should be able to pursue their dreams. For those in the automotive arts, there is the same pressures to achieve career goals as any other and the same educational costs as well. For that reason, may individuals can feel dismayed or concerned that they will not be able to pay for the education and may delay their pursuits as a result. For those interested, though, there are automotive scholarships available that can help to pay for the pursuit of an education. The following are three different scholarships that are available to those in this field. Utilize this as your guide to paying for your automotive education.
SEMA Loan Forgiveness and Scholarship Program
The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) provides automotive scholarships and loan forgiveness to individuals who want to be the leaders of the next generation in the automotive aftermarket career field. The goal of this program is to promote and assist the leaders and innovative spirits that will be the promoters and executives of tomorrow. Those that wish to apply must be pursuing a degree in an automotive field at some level. That means that they can be entering into career ranging from automotive engineering to race car drivers to auto journalists. All applicants must be a US citizen and enrolled at a full-time status in a vocational institution or secondary educational facility as long as they are accredited. GAAS Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship
The Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) offers several different automotive scholarships for those that are planning a career in the automotive arts. These individuals should have career goals that involve, in some way, the study of or the mechanical understanding of automobiles. This can include educational and career goals set in mechanical engineering, auto repair, or another mechanical field. For those that are interested in applying for one of the GAAS automotive scholarships, individuals must be able to provide a written explanation of their career goals, demonstrate academic need, and provide all other documentation as required by the scholarship requirements. AmericanMuscle’s Student Scholarships
For those that want to pursue a career in the automotive industry, AmericanMuscle’s provides four automotive scholarships annually. These awards are awarded annually and are given to high school seniors who are pursuing college acceptance into a post-secondary program that focuses on the automotive arts. Those who are currently enrolled in a program may also apply. All applicants must be full-time students at either a college or technical institute with an accreditation. Further, they must complete a scholarship essay and application with all necessary details, including proof of financial need and high school or college transcripts when applicable. The goal of the program is to motivate individuals to pursue a solid education and to continue their passion in the field for years to come.
