When it comes to fast food restaurants, most individuals think of—not surprisingly—fast food! There are several different chains throughout the world that have national appeal and can curb hunger on the go. Yet, fast food restaurants do more than just provide burgers and chicken and fries quickly.
These organizations often put a great deal of effort into giving back to their communities as well. For instance, there are several fast food scholarships available for those who are interested in earning money for college, a few of which are listed below.
RMHC Scholarship Program
There are several different fast food organizations, as noted, that provide individuals the chance to earn money toward their college pursuits. McDonald’s is no exception. Through the Ronald McDonald House Charity wing of their organization, McDonald’s is consistently raising money as a way to help and give back to their community.
Among the different scholarships available through this organization is the RMHC Scholars program. The RMHC Scholarship Program, individuals can earn scholarships to help them achieve the goals that they have for themselves.
In order to apply, individuals must be under the age of twenty-one and they must also have a stellar academic career with at least a 2.7 GPA. Wendy’s Heisman Program
For student athletes, Wendy’s has a program that can greatly help in providing resources for a college education. Known as the Wendy’s Heisman Program, students from around the world who pursue athletics and academics can earn monies as a reward for their on the field play.
These individuals who apply can earn thousands of dollars toward their education but must demonstrate athletic ability and academic success both. Further, these individuals must also submit all of the proper application details and meet all of the criteria, including attendance at a banquet in their honor in New York City. Both financially rewarding and experientially beneficial, this is a great scholarship to pursue for student athletes and is among the best of fast food scholarships out there. There are several different scholarships available through McDonald’s. Among them is the RMHC scholarship listed above. Another of the opportunities through McDonald’s is the HACER scholarship program. This scholarship program is reserved for individuals that are of Hispanic American Descent and who can articulate how this unique background and culture has helped to bring about challenges into their lives.
They must also share an essay as to how the monies would be used to better educational opportunities and also how these cultural differences will help to develop career goals in the future.
