Many or all of the companies featured provide compensation to LendEDU. These commissions are how we maintain our free service for consumers. Compensation, along with hours of in-depth editorial research, determines where & how companies appear on our site.
LendEDU, a website focused on helping consumers find financial solutions, is excited to celebrate its three-year anniversary at the company’s New Jersey location. Hoboken has provided a home for our company to grow, so we’ve decided to commemorate the occasion with several donations to worthy local causes.
LendEDU provides education and in-depth information on student loans, personal loans, credit cards, insurance, and other financial products. Since our founding in 2014, the company has also prided itself on giving back through making charitable contributions made throughout the year.
This year, in celebration of our move to Hoboken, New Jersey in May of 2016, LendEDU has decided to provide $2,500 donations to four worthy local causes in the month of May. Charities that received funds include:
The Hoboken Shelter
Since 1982, Hoboken Homeless Shelter has focused on ending homelessness by equipping homeless men and women with the tools they need to become independent. In addition to serving meals and providing shelter, this organization also provides job training, counseling services, education on life skills, referrals to alcohol and drug treatment programs, and case management services. More than 500,000 people have been housed since the shelter’s founding, and many more have received meals, supportive services, and assistance with reintegration into the community. Learn more!
Advance the Cure for MS
An estimated 2.5 million people are living with Multiple Sclerosis, which is a degenerative condition for which there currently is no cure. Advance the Cure for MS is on a mission to change that. Advance the Cure supports research aimed at treating and curing MS, but it also focuses on providing practical solutions for people currently affected by this condition today. Funds go to providing the tools that MS sufferers need to have the best quality of life, including walkers, wheelchairs, and ramps. Advance the Cure for MS also offers support and assistance to sufferers of MS and hosts events to spread awareness of this serious condition. Learn more!

Community FoodBank of New Jersey has been committed to its mission of ending hunger and providing hope since its founding more than 40 years ago. In addition to operating mobile pantries and operating feeding programs for children and seniors, Community FoodBank also provides help applying for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program so those in need can get the funds required to buy food over the long-term. Workforce development initiatives operated by the FoodBank aim to provide long-term solutions for hunger as well, while classes on nutrition, food safety, and cooking are designed to help the food insecure make their food dollars stretch further and their diets healthier.
