Personal Finance Experience

With more than 35 years of professional experience and 25-plus years of financial planning experience, Michael helps his clients pursue their financial goals through a hardworking, common sense, and detail-oriented approach to financial planning. He provides personalized service, builds lasting relationships, and maintains a disciplined, long-term outlook. He uses his experience and wide-ranging business and educational background as a basis for creating financial plans unique to each client's goals and aspirations.

Mike attended the United States Naval Academy and Long Island University, where he studied engineering, chemistry, marine science, and mathematics. After graduating summa cum laude, Mike applied his talents to the management of multimillion dollar environmental projects and corporate financial planning. In 2003, Mike made it his priority to earn the prestigious certified financial planner (CFP®) certification from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Mike has been teaching for over 40 years. In the late 1980s, Mike taught high school math and science and self-designed SAT prep classes. Throughout the 1990s, Mike mentored and taught staff various tricks of the trade. Since 2003, Mike has been teaching numerous classes on a variety of financial planning topics to universities, trade groups, professional organizations, adult education, and the general public. Mike's philosophy is that education and knowledge are powerful, and he enjoys teaching to an audience.

In addition to teaching in the classroom and seminars, Mike has a weekly TV show that broadcasts on Roku, YouTube, and all podcast streaming services. The show takes a closer look at the six fundamental areas of financial planning as Mike provides instruction on various topics, and interviews industry experts, business owners, and corporate executives.
