Losing a parent is one of the most excruciating experiences at any age, but especially for young adults and children. Whether parents were never present or they are lost when they child is older, this experience can have a profound experience on the mental well-being of an individual and their overall quality of life. While many individuals go on to have very fulfilling lives, there are unique challenges that orphans must face as a result of their parentless status.
Among the struggles that can result from not having two parents are financial problems and deficits. That is why many orphans find pursuing college as a problem as it can dip into financial areas that the student cannot meet. Because of this issue, many individuals are finding that scholarships are a great way to bridge the gap between financing an education and not. Because of the obstacles faced by orphans, there are many scholarships designated as available just for them.
