Scholarships come in many forms, each with their own criteria. For instance, there are scholarships available for minorities, for women, for men, and for those from a particular state in the Union. There are also those scholarships available for student athletes and those who are passionate and want to pursue a certain course of study at the collegiate level.
There are also scholarships available for those for a talent in a particular hobby as well. Among the different talent-based financial aid packages that are available to students heading to college are scholarships for musicians. These financial awards are often given through competitions and are meant to provide the financial resources that students need to fund their education while still being able to pursue the craft and musical talents that they love.
Below, you will find a few of the scholarships for musicians that are available for those in the field and also those who wish to use their talents to build a better foundation for future careers. Check out all the details and use the links to apply!
YoungArts Scholarship for Organ
For those that love to play the organ, there are scholarships for musicians in this instrument field of play. Specifically, this program is offered for members of the YoungArts Program who can demonstrate their abilities through a series of different performances. Required to be digitally submitted, scholarships for musicians in this field are given to those who can play four different songs, one of which is chosen by the applicant itself. Of the different submissions, the finalists will be asked to travel and perform live in front of a panel of judges that will ultimately decide whether or not the applicant is worthy of their scholarships for musicians.
