Nursing Educators Loan Forgiveness Program

Those that are teaching in the nursing field in the state of Rhode Island can earn money toward their student debt via the Nurse Educators Loan Forgiveness Program. This program is sponsored by the RI student loan authority and offers monies for work and service commitments. Those that wish to apply must meet the eligibility requirements including teaching at an accredited Rhode Island institution of higher learning. Must have been hired after May 31st, 2012 and be licensed by all qualifying state teaching and nursing boards, without restriction.

Practitioner Loan Forgiveness Opportunity

The Primary Care Practitioner Student Loan Forgiveness Program offers students up to eighty thousand dollars if they are working in a qualifying field within the state of Rhode Island. This loan forgiveness opportunity offers money to those that are nurse practitioners and physicians assistants who are working in family, internal, or pediatric medicine, as well as other MDs and DOs. The amount of the Health Professional Loan Repayment program varies, with all details being found here, but this program can award thousands of dollars to qualifying individuals in the field. All those individuals have to do is be currently licensed without restriction to practice in the state. They also need to be serving professionally in an underserved community.
