In order to be eligible for scholarships in Ohio, students must have been living in Ohio for a certain amount of time. This time length varies by scholarship. Choose Ohio First offers funding to Ohio higher education institutions that have developed cutting-edge methods to both recruit and retain Ohio students who are interested in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) fields. Scholarships are awarded to students in amounts ranging from $1,500 to $5,200 per student each year. Nurse education Assistance Loan Program (NEALP) offers funding to Ohio students who enroll at least half time in an accredited Ohio nursing program. This program aims to defray e cost of education for children of Ohio veterans who were killed or severely injured in the line of duty.
