If you’re hoping to find an easy way to redeem your Capital One Venture rewards, you’re in luck. Unlike some travel credit cards that make the redemption process complicated, Capital One Venture miles are easy to redeem.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to redeeming your Capital One Venture miles.
Capital One Venture Miles Redemption
You get 1 point worth 1 cent per mile when you redeem rewards for travel. You only get half of that amount if you use those miles for a credit on your statement or when you use them for gift cards. In those instances, it will take 2 miles to equal 1 cent.
Simply make an online account, which takes just a few minutes. Then, log in to your account and click through to see your available rewards.
You can get a statement credit on all the charges you’ve made that are travel-related by clicking on “Redeem Travel Purchases.” You can redeem some of your miles or all of them. It generally takes up to two or three business days to receive the statement credit after you redeem it.
You can also use your miles to set up new reservations with airlines, hotels, or car rental places. You would book those through the Capital One Rewards Center. You can book directly off that site by using your miles for a hassle-free redemption method.
After you log in, you’ll also find a place online where you can redeem miles for gift cards and cash back. If you want the cash sent to you instead of applied to your balance, it will take longer than the two or three days you would get with your other options.
What to Watch For
Redeeming Capital One reward miles for new travel is the most efficient way to use them because it will give you the best deal – a full cent per mile. That’s the best redemption value you’ll have with the Capital One Venture card.
While the benefits of using this card are that it is easy to understand, and the redemption process is simple, it’s not the most competitive in terms of cash back. There are other credit card options that will reward you with much more cash back. If you like to travel, you should avoid squandering your points on cash back and use the points toward travel redemption instead.
For More Help
If you’re struggling with the redemption process, you contact Capital One directly. If you’re having a hard time understanding the process, don’t panic. You have time to figure it out because your points will never expire.
