In-flight savings can be a significant perk for cardmembers, as can in-flight bonuses. Credit card members may be eligible for seat upgrades, free flights, frequent flyer perks, and savings on food and beverage purchases on each flight.

The Delta Gold SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express offers a variety of perks to cardmembers, including in-flight savings. Cardmembers can receive 20% off in-flight purchases on food, beverages, and other items each flight. The in-flight savings are applied as a statement credit each billing cycle.

The Delta Gold SkyMiles Credit Card recently offered a 60,000-mile bonus to new cardmembers for making at least $3,000 in purchases on the new card within the first four months of opening an account. This would be enough to cover a roundtrip domestic flight when redeemed for Delta airfare.

The credit card has an annual fee of $95 that is waived for the first year. The purchase APR currently ranges from 17.49% to 26.49% depending on the cardholder’s credit history and score.

The JetBlue Card also gives new cardmembers the opportunity to earn 10,000 bonus points after making at least $1,000 in purchases within the first 90 days after opening an account. All JetBlue cardholders earn three times the points on JetBlue purchases, two times the points at restaurants and grocery stores, and one point for all other purchases.
