Alice Madden Barton Scholarship Program offers grants which are funded though Great Clips hair salon. Any high school graduate who is planning a career in cosmetology or barbering is eligible to apply. Two deadlines exist throughout the year –one on June 30th and the other on December 31st. PBA/NCA Sally Beauty scholarship offers seven awards of $1,000 each to students planning a cosmetology career. An additional six scholarships, each valued at $500, are awarded to current cosmetology professionals who wish to further their education.
Joe Francis Hair care Scholarship Foundation is open to students who plan to enroll or who are currently enrolled in a cosmetology or barbering school. Over twenty scholarships are awarded, each worth approximately $1,000. Students can sign up on the following website to receive updates regarding this scholarship: http://www.joefrancis.com/.
Access to Cosmetology Education Scholarship Program is open to students who have completed at least half of their training thus far at an AACS member institution. Addition, they must be doing well academically. Students who have at least 80% attendance, a grade point average of a B or higher, and who can show financial need are eligible to receive a scholarship worth $1,000.
Oregon Barber and Hairdresser Grant Program is available to residents of Oregon who demonstrate financial need. Students must plan to enroll in a licensed cosmetology program or a program in a related field of study.

Robert and Irene Kimber Cosmetology Scholarship is open to students who have a 2.0 minimum grade point average and who show financial need. Students must enroll in the cosmetology program located within Idaho State University. The amount of the award varies.
Aveda Institutes has training programs in almost every state within the U.S. The amount of the awards varies by school and state, so students are encouraged to get in touch with the Aveda School located closest to them. The financial aid office at that school can assist them in identifying scholarships that they will be eligible to apply for. More information can be found at: http://aveda.edu/.
Austin’s School of Spa Technology which is located in New York State offers scholarships of $300 per year. About ten of these awards are given annually and students must be nominated by an alumnus of the university in order to apply.
