American Express is often misinterpreted as simply a credit card company, but they really do have so much more to offer. They have a wide variety of credit cards, of course, but they also offer travelers checks, banking options, and travel assistance. They even have financial advisors on staff to help you with your most important financial decisions. No matter what you are looking for when it comes to financial products and services, Amex has got you covered. Take a look at some of their most well known cards, including the Plum Card. Check it out and see all that it has to offer.

Benefits & Rewards

The Amex Plum Card is one of the most popular business cards that American Express has to offer. It comes with a variety of different benefits and rewards. For starters, it offers a 1.5 percent discount on charged balances that are paid off early. Also, the card comes with a pay it later option where you can take up to 60 days to pay off a balance before interest accrues. A big businesses perk is that there is no cap off on how much you can charge. That means no spending limits. Get what you need, when you need it.

Aside from being able to earn money back in your first three months, you will also get access to their 24 hour a day, 7 days a week customer service. They will help you to resolve any fraudulent charges, they will help you with return assistance, and they can also answer any questions that you have about your account and card benefits.

Another big perk is that you have up to 60 days to pay your balance without having to pay interest towards it. That flexibility in payments can make all the difference in the world when it comes to your cash flow. If you do choose to pay early, however, there is a perk that you can take advantage of. Any time you make your payment within ten days of the date on the bill, you get a 1.5% early pay discount. That means that they will take 1.5% off of your total bottom line when you make your payments.

Now that we have covered all of the great rewards that come along with the Amex Plum Card, it is time to look at the rates and fees that you may see on your bill. First, be aware that there is an annual fee of $250 for being a cardholder; however, the first year with the card comes with no annual fee. Returned payments will be assessed a fee of $38, while late payments will have a 1.5% fee plus 2.99% of the total past due amount. The minimum fee for a late payment is $38

When you look at the terms and conditions, you won’t see a section for annual percentage rates. Why is this? With the Amex Plum Card, they expect you to make your payment within sixty days. If you do this, there will be no interest applied to your account. If you choose to switch to the Pay Over Time option, however, you will be charged interest on your purchases. These interest rates will be based on the current prime rates. If you don’t opt for Pay Over Time, your account will be in Pay In Full status, and payment in full is expected. Barring the Pay Over Time feature, the Plus Card is effectively a charge card.

The Bottom Line

Could the Amex Plum Card be what you have been looking for in a charge card? Maybe so! It seems that this card only has a few drawbacks such as the $250 annual fee. It does, however, come jammed packed with benefits and rewards that make it well worth your investment. The flexibility in determining how you pay your bill is also really convenient, especially for businesses.

Most people also really appreciate the fact that there are no spending limits with this card, giving them more flexibility and freedom with their purchasing. If you are in need of a card with lots of freedom, then this may be just what you need. Apply today and see if you are approved, and then enjoy all of the perks that come along with the card.
