Amazon is a leader in the online marketplace, and for good reason! It offers just about everything you could possibly want or need. Whether you enjoy shopping from the comfort of home, or you are looking for something you just can’t find in your local area, there is a good chance Amazon can ship it to you.
With so many customers, Amazon can offer credit cards to its user base; in fact, one such option is the Amazon Store Card. It’s a pretty basic card, but it can be fairly helpful to the habitual Amazon customer.
Benefits and Rewards
Let’s look at the benefits and rewards that come with the Amazon Store Card. With this card, if you are approved, they will automatically give you a $10 Amazon.com gift card. You can also join Amazon Prime, earn some great cash back rewards, and get upgraded automatically to the Amazon Prime Store Card.
This allows you to earn 5% back on all Amazon.com purchases. These rewards are used as statement credits, allowing you to pay less for the purchases you make. The rewards do not expire, as long as you keep your Amazon Prime status. They also offer special financing options on purchases greater than $149.
While offering 5% cash back on Amazon is a good deal, it comes with no other cash back rates because the Store Card can only be used on Amazon.com. This alone may not be the most attractive aspect of a

This credit card comes with no annual membership fee. It does have other fees you will want to be aware of though.
There is one interest rate for the Amazon Store Card – a variable rate of 27.24%.
Keep in mind there are special financing options, including 6, 12 and 24-month introductory rates on new purchases. This means you can avoid interest for 6 months on new purchases over $149, for 12 months on new purchases over $599, and for 24 months on select Amazon items. This is definitely something to take advantage of, but you are required to make all payments on time.
Bottom Line
While the Amazon Store Card is only available to use at Amazon.com, it is still a great choice for people who shop on Amazon often. The Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card, however, does have the better perks and rewards, and it also offers more flexibility in spending.
